Hi Everyone
I have only owned this scooter for 3 weeks so these are first impressions of a new machine.
My criteria for a scooter was that it had to be fun, zippy, good range, safe and as compact as it could be as I had to store it in a canopy of a Ute when traveling. My research led me to the Dragon GTR V2. Wow, is this thing fun to ride and zippy. It gets up all the hills Ive tried so far and you really get wind chill when going. It feels very safe and stable and stops quickly when needed without much effort at all. It has exceeded all my expectations except for compactness and storing it. It remains about the same length when folded (its long) and its heavier than expected. Trying to lift it into my canopy is an effort and the 28kg is really noticeable. Its no fault of the scooter. Just is what it is.
I Bought the seat as well as I thought that it would be a bit easier on the legs on a long ride. I went for a ride standing up for about 500m and tried the seat. I haven't stood on the scooter since. Sitting is so comfortable and makes it such a relaxing ride. I noticed too that riding on shared footpaths, people felt less intimidated by the small stature of a sitting rider compared to someone tall towering above while approaching. I had lots of favourable comments and lots of people wanting to buy my scooter. Sorry, not for sale was the quick response.
I was a bit dubious of Bike Scooter City when I ordered the scooter on line as they sent me requests to to take screen shots of payment leaving my bank account, which I have never come across before. However, after a couple of phone calls they assured me everything was legit and I followed there instructions and all was good. The scooter arrived in 3 days, which surprised me. It was quick.
So, would I buy from Bike Scooter City again? Would I buy a Dragon GTR v2 again. Based on my experience so far...........Hell Yes. Hope this helps.
Pete.
